Job summary

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is seeking an Activity Therapy Aide/Coordinator to support inpatient programming for adults and adolescents. The role participates in planning, implementing, and performing therapeutically oriented activities and groups, educating patients, and developing recreational, social, leisure, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a psychiatric, mental health, or activity related field.
• Previous knowledge or work experience in activity therapy preferred.
• Previous knowledge or work experience in the mental health field preferred.

• Develop productive skills for vocational, avocational, and daily living activities.

The Activity Therapy Aide participates in the planning, implementation, and performance of therapeutically orientated activities and groups. They are responsible for providing activity and group programming for adult and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting. The Activity Therapy Aide helps educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills. This position actively supports, promotes and works to fulfill the Mission, Vision, and Values of Cedar Creek Hospital using our Service Excellence Program.
