Job summary

The Avenue at Wooster is seeking a cheerful Activities Assistant to support residents through engaging programs and events in a warm, hotel-like environment. Responsibilities include assisting with individual and group activities, coordinating events, documenting participation, and maintaining flexible scheduling, including every other weekend.

Prior long-term care or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities programming for residents.
• Familiarity with long-term care environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends.

• Assist and implement facility and community events.
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Implement evening and weekend activities as assigned.

The Avenue at Wooster is a Post-Hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care Facility that offers a distinctive environment not commonly found in skilled nursing facilities. From our hotel-like environment to our all-private suites, the Avenue is committed to providing an excellent level of physical, medical, emotional, and spiritual support in an environment of comfort and respect. Our facility provides some of the area’s highest level of rehabilitation, nursing and medical support to individuals needing post-hospital care and services. We are looking for a committed individual with a reputation for being cheerful and friendly as they administer care to our residents.

• Documentation of participation through Point Click Care.
• Qualifications and Skills required:
• Knowledge of Microsoft office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Positive and outgoing personality.
• Previous experience in a long term care environment preferred but will consider those with other customer service experience.
• Flexibility in scheduling and working every other weekend is required.
