Job summary

ST BERNARDS MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an Activity Therapy Technician to support Behavioral Health services. You will assist therapists, plan and lead activity groups, and help with assessments and documentation in a hospital setting.

The role is PRN with daytime hours, requiring the ability to manage group activities and maintain patient engagement in education and recreation programs. Prior experience leading groups and strong customer relations are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in leading recreation groups and good customer relations.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent movement in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Therapists with assessing patients’ activity therapy needs and planning/leading groups.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Required

Experience

Physical

Essential Functions: Leading education group, supervise recreation activities, assist with assessments and documentation. Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching

JOB SUMMARY
