United Health Services, Inc. is seeking a companion for the Therapeutic Leisure Activity Program at UHS Senior Living at Ideal in New York.

The role focuses on designing and implementing activities to meet social, physical, and psychosocial needs of late adult residents. The position offers a day shift with 36 hours weekly, a pay range of $15.61–$23.45 per hour depending on experience, and a broad benefits package.

• One year experience in a related care or activity role.
• Strong verbal and written communication with residents and staff.

Sits 10% of day, walks short distances 50%, stands 30%. Occasionally twists, stoops, squats, bends, climbs stairs, and reaches above, at, or below shoulder height. Occasionally lifts and transfers residents weighing on an average of 150 pounds with or without assistance. Frequently pushes wheelchair residents up to 250 pounds, 350 feet.
