Blue Central Group seeks an Activity Director to lead and organize recreational programs for residents in a 102-bed skilled nursing facility. The role involves coordinating events, assembling materials, and planning a monthly calendar to foster social interaction and confidence among residents.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and building a robust volunteer network with community organizations.

Qualificações

• Plan, facilitate, and document monthly activity program; documentation includes calendar, resident participation, care plan and individualized resident assessment.
• Network with community organizations, businesses, schools and individuals to form a volunteer program.
• Provide direct physical and emotional care to residents, maintain confidentiality per HIPPA regulations.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition, accidents or incidents to staff.
• Work independently or with peers to provide a viable recreation/activity program.

The Activity Director organizes and directs all recreational activity programs for residents in this 102 bed skilled nursing facility. Prepares for events by obtaining and organizing necessary materials for activities. Directs and organizes such activities as sports, dramatics, games and arts and crafts to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in group activities. Follows regulated content of program in accordance with individualized patient capabilities, needs and interests. Organize and coordinate special outings and accompany residents on outings, planning and documenting a monthly activity event calendar. Lead in assessing and documenting activity progress for interdisciplinary team reflecting resident reaction and evidence of progress or regression. Network with community organizations, businesses, schools and individuals to form a solid volunteer program.

Qualifications Education:

• Highschool Diploma/GED
• Prefer previous experience with all aspects of a recreational activity program designed for residents in the assisted living facility.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certification in Activities
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company requirements related to transporting residents.

Responsibilities

• Ability to provide direct physical and emotional care to residents including maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
• Recognize and report, to charge staff, any change in resident condition, accidents or incidents involving residents, staff or visitors.
• Must be able to work independently or with peers to provide viable recreation/activity program.
