Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an Activity Director with CA Certification for Activity Director or a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist to lead resident programs in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

In this role you will plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual activities, document accurately, and collaborate with the clinical team, residents, families and volunteers.

Qualifications

• CA Certification for Activity Director is required, or candidate must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and ability to work with challenging residents and families.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job as Activity Director is in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. This is a Skilled Nursing Facility and the program must meet the needs of each resident.

Accurate documentation is required, as well as, interaction with our clinical team, residents, their families and volunteers.
