Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for winter 2026/27 in Pennsylvania for Mountain Activities Attendants and related seasonal roles. Starting wage is $20/hr with housing availability.

Roles include Mountain Activities, Retail, Food & Beverage support, ticket sales or scanning, Lift Operations, Base Area Operations and more. Applications are rolling and will be accepted until December 15th or until positions are filled.

Qualifications

  • Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Have Fun! Create experiences of a lifetime for guests and fellow employees and ourselves.
  • Be Safe: provide a safe experience for guests and employees and assist younger guests.
  • Serve Others: operate activities such as Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, Adventure Zone, Trampolines, Zip Lines, Ropes Courses and more; answer questions and help guests navigate.
  • Do Right: engage with guests, obtain feedback and special requests; provide on-the-spot resolutions and verify tickets.
  • Drive Value: be a positive advocate for Vail Resorts and the high-quality experience we provide.
  • Do Good: help keep the mountain clean and preserve the outdoors; motivate guests to become lifelong ambassadors.
  • Be Inclusive: guide guests with varying experience levels and backgrounds.
  • Stay Flexible: perform a variety of tasks across departments as needed.

As a Mountain Activities Attendant, your roleis toprovideEpic guest service as you guide our guests through amazing alpine adventures such as Mountain Coasters, Snow Tubing, Lift Operations, Surface Lift Operations, and Ticket Scanning just to name a few! Job Requirements:

Be prepared: You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions forlong periodsof time.

Be sturdy: You may need to stand forlong periodsof time.

Be nimble: You may be repeatedly twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, bending, squatting, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) throughout each day.

Be friendly:You’llneed to converse clearly and comfortably with a variety of guests of varying backgrounds, ability levels and age groups.

Background checkrequired.

Be reliable: You may need to work unsupervised occasionally or be a strong part of a fun team.You must have reliable transportation (in varying weather conditions) to and from work, and you must be to work on time as scheduledtobe a good teammate.

A Mountain Activities Attendant team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

  • Mountain Activities
  • Retail Rental operations
  • Food and Beverage Support
  • Ticket sales or scanning
  • Lift Operations
  • Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is$20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
