• Demonstrating a basic knowledge of the nature and etiology of disabilities and illnesses of the residents
• Assisting in developing and posting a monthly activities calendar
• Maintaining progress notes and quarterly reviews of progress towards goals
• Coordinating and facilitating resident council meetings
• Performing other duties as requested

Job Description:

Rosemead Healthcare Center is a 24-hour rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility conveniently located in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistants to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining records of resident participation and response to the program
• Maintaining a current list of residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in group activities
• Demonstrating a basic knowledge of the nature and etiology of disabilities and illnesses of the residents
• Assisting in developing and posting a monthly activities calendar

• Performing other duties as requested

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a CNA
• Active CNA certificate in California
• Must be available to work weekends
• High school diploma
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Knowledge and awareness of the care needs of the elderly and/or chronically ill
• Basic computer skills
