Job summary

Scenic Wellness & Rehabilitiation is seeking an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing recreational services for the center's patient population.

You will help develop and deliver programs aimed at enhancing daily living, maintaining functioning levels, and encouraging participation in arts, crafts, community outings, religious activities, and educational activities. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with recreation coursework; state-approved activity-training course preferred.
• Experience leading recreational activities, arts/crafts, educational activities, or community outings.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote opportunities for engaging in life-enhancing pursuits and to maintain or improve functioning.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, outings, religious, educational, and community service activities.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote the patients’ opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities, etc.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
