Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC in Simpsonville, SC is seeking an Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Harmony Square Director in designing and implementing a diverse calendar of meaningful recreational and educational programs for Memory Care residents.

You will lead multiple daily activities, survey residents for interests, coordinate with staff and families, arrange supplies, and help transport residents to outings and appointments while promoting high resident and family

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; state requirements may apply.
• 1-3 years experience in activities planning is desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, initiate, facilitate, and implement a wide variety of recreational and educational programs.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to determine past present interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Coordinate calendars, planning forms, supplies, and monthly activities for the upcoming month.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to promote participation and satisfaction.
• Attend resident council meetings and document records as required.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Arrange chairs, tables, equipment, and assist with resident transportation to activities and outings.

The Life Enrichment Activities Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the Harmony Square Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of multi-level meaningful recreational and educational programs for our Memory Care Neighborhood.* Assists with developing, planning, and implementing a monthly program of activities and supplies based on the dimensions of wellness (i.e. Movement & Motion, Curiosity & Culture, Feelings & Fellowship, Clarity & Purpose, Compassion & Connection and Leadership & Volunteerism) Harmony signature programs and person-centered interests.* Leads 6-7 high quality programs per day.* Assists in surveying and interviewing residents to complete the Resident Life Profile and to determine their past and present interests and talents as well as their satisfaction with the community’s programs and activities.* Partners and coordinates with Harmony Square team to complete planning form, organize supplies, plan the calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.* Develops relationships and connections with residents and families to encourage participation in programs and events and to promote a high level of resident and family satisfaction.* Assists in documenting and maintaining all records as required.* Assists in organizing and attending resident council meetings.* Assists in organizing, maintaining, and staging programming areas and supplies with purpose and neatly.* Assists in recruiting, coordinating, and overseeing a robust volunteer program.* Assists in promoting programs by preparing and posting daily notices and posters as required.* Assists in arranging chairs, tables, and sporting or exercise equipment in specified areas for scheduled group or one-on-one activities and returning to normal structure when completed.* Assists in resident transportation to get groceries, shopping, leisure activities and other resident activities.
