Oasis at the Crescent in New Jersey is seeking an Activities Assistant to support our life-enrichment team in creating engaging programs that inspire, entertain, and connect residents. The role involves planning daily activities, outings, and events while fostering participation in a warm, inclusive atmosphere.

Able to shadow the Director with some evenings and weekends; a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in recreation or gerontology is a plus.
• Experience with seniors in activities or caregiving roles.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred.
• Creative, energetic, and organized with strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable leading group activities and one-on-one sessions.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of daily activities, events, and outings for residents
• Foster resident participation and engagement with a warm, inclusive approach
• Help create monthly activity calendars and coordinate logistics (materials, transportation, staffing)
• Willing to drive the bus to planned events or other outings
• Support with holiday and special event planning, including themed parties and guest entertainment
• Maintain documentation for resident attendance and activity preferences
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop new programs based on resident interests
• Occasionally transport residents to local events or appointments (if applicable)

Hourly rate $15.92 - $17
