Job summary

Runk & Pratt Health Care Ent Inc is seeking an Activities Aide to assist in planning, conducting, and evaluating scheduled activities to match residents' interests and service plans. You will communicate daily schedules to residents and staff, document responses, and help transport residents in a safe manner.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, adherence to infection control policies, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required to qualify for this position.
• Ability to perform duties per Social Services licensing guidelines and infection control policies.
• Must be physically able to meet the job's requirements and pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, conducting, and evaluating scheduled activities and events for residents.
• Communicate daily activity schedules to residents and staff, and document participation.
• Transport residents to and from activities safely and assist with equipment setup.
• Maintain professional appearance and follow facility policies, infection control, and emergency procedures.

Assists in the completion of activities assessment, progress notes and updates in a timely manner as directed by DirectorAssists in planning, conducting, and evaluating scheduled activities, special events, and projects to meet the individual interests, abilities, and service plans of residentsCommunicates the daily schedule of activities programming to residents and support staffDocuments resident participation and response to activity programsProvides input and feedback to Activities Director/Life Enrichment Director regarding resident progress and program effectivenessArranges the environment and set up of equipment. Ensures equipment is returned to proper placeAssists in transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner consistent with resident mobility needsPerforms other duties as assigned by the Activity Director/Administrator/DesigneeMaintains a neat & professional appearance; closed-toe shoes are requiredMust have basic computer skillsMust be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facilityBe of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned dutiesMust possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situationsProvides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this position.Attendance is required during inclement weatherFollows infection control policies & proceduresFollows all policies & procedures of Runk and PrattMaintains appropriate & respectful conduct within the workplaceProvides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this position.Graduation from high school or GEDComplete annual in-service training as requiredState Police background check that is free from barrier offensesA current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from TuberculosisThe ability to meet physical requirements for positionThe ability to pass a drug test
