Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking an Activities and Events Coordinator to join our community. You will help develop and oversee resident activities, plan programs addressing physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs, and coordinate events from setup to breakdown.

The role requires assisting in calendar planning, and flexibility to work evenings and every other weekend. Relevant experience in assisted living and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred.
  • One to three years experience in assisted living or long-term care with memory care patients preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, delegation and consensus-building abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and oversight of resident activities.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for residents.
  • Attend all community planned functions and help coordinate events from start to finish including setup and breakdown.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours (evenings and every other weekend) for planned activity events.

Activities & Events Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred
  • One to three years experience in assisted living or long term care working with memory care patients preferred
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate older adults.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated creative ability.
  • Strong skills in organization, delegation and consensus building.
