Job summary

Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Texas is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our Activities Department. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday and involves coordinating resident activities with nursing and social services staff.

You will plan and lead recreational and social activities, document participation, and help residents achieve goals outlined in their Plan of Care. A positive attitude and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Plan, lead, direct, and assist residents in a variety of recreational and social activities.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, the social services department, and other team members while following the guidance of the Activity Director.
• Assist residents in achieving their individual activity goals as identified through assessments and their Plan of Care.
• Take initiative, work independently, and demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter.
• Distribute monthly activity calendars to residents.
• Update and maintain resident information boards and event boards on a monthly basis.
• Encourage resident participation and help create a positive, engaging environment.

• Dependable, creative, and enthusiastic.
