Description

Our nursing home community is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We're looking for a caring and compassionate person who would love to make a difference in peoples' lives. We're seeking an individual who truly cares about making our community the best home possible for our residents.

Available Positions:

- Part-Time Position in our memory care neighborhoods with the opportunity to train in other areas as well. Every other weekend - shifts are 10 am to 4 pm.

This is a great opportunity for a high school student or someone looking to spend time and be involved with the well-being of our geriatric population! It is a very rewarding environment!

Primary functions include (but not limited to):

• Create and provide activities of therapeutic value.
• Target group activities that will provide educational value, mental, physical, and sensory stimulation (e.g., crafts, current events, 1-to-1's, game time, baking, outside entertainment, bingo, discussion groups, active games, etc.).
• Complete daily paperwork as directed.

Qualifications

Three to four years of high school, basic everyday living skills, the ability to understand and follow directions, and the ability to read, write, add, and subtract are required.
