Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking an Activities Aide at Daniel K. Akaka State Veterans Home in Kapolei, HI. This part-time role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering activity programs for Kupuna to enhance well-being and engagement.

Responsibilities include observing resident responses, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with the Activity Manager to adjust programs as needed. A minimum 18 years old, HS diploma, and TB clearance are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18.
• One (1) year experience in long-term care or working with the elderly preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).

Responsibilities

• Observe and document resident response to activity programs to determine fit with residents' needs and preferences.
• Assist residents to maintain highest level of functioning and encourage use of adaptive devices.
• Participate in community planning related to the facility and residents' interests.
