Job summary

Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Elizabethtown, NY, is seeking an energetic Recreation Aide to support daily activities for residents in our 100-bed facility. You will collaborate with recreation specialists, plan engaging programs, and help residents participate with dignity and respect.

The role requires strong organizational skills, good computer abilities, weekend availability, and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset focused on geriatric well-being.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and energy are a must.
• Experience with activities in healthcare settings or college recreation therapy.
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Strong computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Residents on units; without direct supervision

• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units

REQUIREMENTS:
