Location: Downtown Area

Schedule: Weekend - 6am -2p | 2p -10pm | 10pm - 6am

Pay: $15 for CNAs and $14 for Non-licensed

Job Description

We seek a compassionate, dedicated caregiver to provide personal care and support. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities such as cooking, ensuring the comfort and well-being of the individual in their care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs; record and notify the office of deviations according to standard practice.
• Perform personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing, hair care, shaving, deodorant application, skin care with lotions and/or powder, foot care, and ear care. Q-tips are not to be used.)
• Provide nail care and oral hygiene; nail cutting or filing will NOT be done.
• Change bed linens and make the bed.
• Assist with eating and maintain adequate nutrition and fluid intake when appropriate.
• Assist patients with ambulation and transfers, including toilet/commode, bedpans, elimination needs, bed entry/exit, ambulation, and other positional needs.
• Provide incidental household services such as light housekeeping, straightening rooms, and laundry.
• Set medication reminders.
• Apply basic infection control principles and procedures; contact the supervisor with any concerns related to infection control.
• Follow the Plan of Care (Instruction Sheet) as instructed by the Agency's health care professional.
• Document appropriately according to the Plan of Care and submit all documentation per agency policy.
• Observe physical and gross behavioral changes in the patient's condition or family situation and report to the office.
• Follow the visit schedule and indicate changes in the schedule as appropriate.
• Promptly contact patients and the office whenever unable to visit a patient as scheduled and give a full report concerning patient care, visit times, etc.
• Communicate appropriately with patient/family and Agency personnel.
• Attend required in-services and meetings as identified by the Agency (Must have 12 hours of in-service per year).
• Adhere to the Agency's Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities as indicated.
