Job summary

The U.S. Navy invites applications for an Active-Duty FM Orthopedic Surgeon within the Medical Corps. Location: Nationwide, full-time, in-person (not remote). Specialty: Orthopedics. You will diagnose, treat, and perform surgeries for musculoskeletal injuries while ensuring readiness and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include non-surgical treatments, rehabilitation, and post-operative care to support service members in varied environments, from home bases to deployed settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG certificate).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency (or in final year).
• Board certified (or in final year of residency).
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Between the ages of 21 and 64 (Title 10 U.S. Code 531/532).

Responsibilities

• Provide musculoskeletal care, diagnose, treat, and perform surgeries.
• Maintain readiness of service members in deployed and non-deployed settings.
• Offer non-surgical treatments, rehabilitation, and post-operative care.
• Support health and readiness at Navy medical facilities, home and abroad.
