Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, is seeking Chemical Laboratory Technicians for the Actinide Analytical Chemistry Group. Openings at Research Technician 3 or 4 levels with duties in a production-oriented, safety-focused environment supporting national security mission areas.

Positions require following procedures, handling hazardous materials, and maintaining detailed records. The roles involve working with nuclear material and potential for shift schedules; Q clearance

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to work in chemistry lab with corrosive and hazardous chemicals.
• Willingness and ability to work with nuclear material.
• Experience following procedures and reading documented procedures.
• Ability to complete supervisor directed assignments with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical work in facilities as directed by supervisor.
• Work with nuclear material in gloveboxes and hoods.
• Follow procedures and suggest improvements where applicable.
• Perform duties with limited direct supervision.
