Job summary

PLASKOLITE, headquartered in Columbus, OH, seeks a Technical Development Engineer for acrylic polymers and profiles to drive technical sales support and application development. You will collaborate with customers, sales, manufacturing and R&D to advance processing trials and product evaluations.

You will support extrusion and injection molding applications, provide material recommendations, and help resolve processing challenges to grow business within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in polymer or related engineering field
• 3–7 years experience in plastics/manufacturing environments
• Experience in extrusion and/or injection molding trials
• Customer-facing technical support or technical sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk tickets for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot processing, product performance, and manufacturing issues involving acrylic polymers.
• Provide technical support for acrylic polymer applications and optimized processing.
• Support extrusion and injection molding trials at customer and manufacturing locations.
• Assist customers with material selection, processing recommendations, and application development.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, engineering, and technical teams on projects.
• Travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
