Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service seeks a Full-Time Acquisition Test Manager for the Common Armament Tester - Fighters (CAT-F) program at Robins AFB, Georgia. You will plan and execute the test program for this ACAT III effort within the Automatic Test Systems division, coordinating with DoD offices, contractors, and users.

The role requires extensive Test & Evaluation experience, OSS&E assurance, and the ability to produce and review test plans, ATPs, and reports, while maintaining requirements

Qualifications

  • Candidates will plan and execute the test program for the CAT-F program.
  • Experience writing and reviewing test plans and test reports.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the test program for the CAT-F ACAT III program in ATS Division.
  • Lead Test Readiness activities and formal qualification tests (FQT) and ATP.
  • Write and review test plans, reports, and traceability artifacts.
  • Verify requirements traceability and assist in product release decisions.
  • Collaborate with DoD program offices, commands, contractors, and maintainers at multiple levels.

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Acquisition Test Manager Common Armament Tester - Fighters (NH-801-03) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Robins AFB, Georgia.

Qualifications

In this position you will serve as the test manager for the Common Armament Tester - Fighters (CAT-F). Will work to plan and execute the test program for this ACAT III acquisition program in the Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Division. Performs Systems Engineering activities to include Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) assurance, establishing technical requirements & baselines, systems integration & test, analyzing configuration alternatives, validating system performance, technology insertion, and establishing nuclear and cyber security certifications for the CAT-F program. Performs analysis of alternatives and development of recommendations for the Milestone Decision Authority (MDA).

Strong expertise and experience with Test and Evaluation processes and procedures are required. Experience in writing/reviewing test plans, engaging in Test Readiness activities leading test events to perform Formal Qualification Tests (FQT) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), writing/reviewing test reports, verifying requirements traceability, and verifying test documents prior to making product release recommendations. Expertise in Acquisition Contract efforts is highly desired.

Certified Acquisition Professional in Engineering & Technical Management highly desired. Knowledge in Armament Systems to include bomb racks and missile launchers is preferred.

Job requires interfacing with DoD program offices, major commands, contractor & organic providers, maintainers and users at all organizational levels.

Good written and oral communication skills are desired.

Must be able to work on teams and work with inter-disciplinary counterparts to resolve cost, schedule, performance, priority and resource constraints for best outcome.

Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in collaboration with multi-functional entities including other IPT members, engineers, supervisors, users, maintainers, and MAJCOM.

  • An engineering degree from an ABET accredited program is required.
  • DAWIA Certification: Ability to obtain Test and Evaluation Practitioner Certification.
  • Financial Management Statement.
  • Duties can include but are not limited to cost estimating support, market research, technical requirements development (system design), technical evaluations, schedule development, leading source selection/acquisition/sustainment activities, planning and leading testing activities, and ensuring technical performance while supporting overarching program cost, schedule and performance objectives. Develops and oversees execution of the program test plan. Provides independent assessment of program test events.
