Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Acquisition Systems Engineer Principal to provide SETA support to SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. This role focuses on multi-INT software services acquisitions within a large, end-to-end life cycle effort for the NRO GED.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with Polygraph.
  • 7+ years of IC acquisition cycle experience.
  • Knowledge of software development program cost, schedule, performance.
  • Experience with traditional/non-FAR acquisition vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and technical engineering support to the Government customer to manage multi-INT software application acquisitions; evaluate cost, performance, schedule, and risks throughout the program life-cycle.
  • Develop acquisition strategies, generate artifacts, and support proposal evaluation as needed.
  • Provide program management analysis and documentation supporting oversight of and engagements with development contractors, including developing technical roadmaps and the acquisition strategies/documentation to implement them.
  • Strategize with government, SETA, and industry partners to conceptualize and prove out a future ground architecture to drive the customer's new space architecture.
  • Lead technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities for automated multi-INT collection orchestration and sensemaking.
  • Derive enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation.
  • Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt, architectural runway and efficiency trade-offs against current and proposed/desired cloud-based software system design.
  • Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders.

SAIC is seeking aAcquisition Systems Engineer Principalto provide SETA support to SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

The cquisition Systems Engineer Principal will provide specialized expertise supporting the acquisition of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software services. SAIC’s client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation, and information sharing. In this role the Acquisition Systems Engineerwill assist and advise Government managers responsible for acquisition and operation of a variety of Cloud-based developments.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with Polygraph
  • 7+ years of experience with the IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation.
  • Knowledge related to managing technical, cost and schedule performance of software development programs.
  • Experience with traditional/non-FAR acquisition vehicles a plus (IDIQ, BAA, OTA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments.
  • Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
