Job summary

QED Systems, LLC in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking an Acquisition Support Specialist to support PM E2S2 with program management, documentation, and policy tasks across the government lifecycle. You will help draft acquisition documentation, coordinate reviews, and provide guidance on acquisition processes and reform initiatives.

The role requires a transitioned understanding of DoD 5000-series policies, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to coordinate with diverse teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of direct relevant experience is required.
  • DAWIA Level III in Program Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Acquisition Program Management support to develop and draft acquisition documentation (e.g., strategies, baselines, EFPs).
  • Provide functional and technical direction in design, development, acquisition, production, fielding and lifecycle support of government programs.
  • Support government policies, plans, requirements, and lifecycle management activities.

Job description

QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting an Acquisition Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA to support our customer, Project Manager Expeditionary Energy & Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2).

Duties
  • Provide Acquisition Program Management support designed to assist various product teams in developing and drafting acquisition documentation including, but not limited to: Acquisition Strategies and Plans, Acquisition Program Baselines, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, System Engineering Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans.
  • Provide functional and technical direction in the design, development, acquisition, production, fielding and post‑deployment support of government programs.
  • Support the government in overall product management policies, plans, requirements, execution, control and direction of the work and associated resources involved in providing life cycle management.
  • Plan and conduct workforce training and lead discussions on acquisition processes and reform initiatives.
  • Develop, draft, provide, and update documentation for acquisition programs to include all documentation required for program Milestone events (MDD, MS A, MS B, MS C, Full Rate Production, Type Classification/Material Release, etc.).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Acquisition, aiding in educating the workforce and tracking evolving Acquisition policy.
  • Apply in‑depth knowledge of the DoD 5000 series publications, acquisition policy and critical‑thinking skills to assist product teams with developing, maintaining, and coordinating decision packages (e.g., Milestone B, Type Classification, Materiel Release) for approval.
  • Utilize collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Global Electronic Approval Routing System) to maintain, route, track, and update documentation.
  • Support program personnel with programmatic related actions including preparation of Program Reviews, Decision Briefs, Quad Charts, and Program Procurement and RDT&E Forms.
  • Provide support to Combat Development community, as required, and assist with the development/update of requirements documents for programs.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Senior level military and acquisition experience required.
Required Clearance
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of direct relevant experience is required.
  • An additional ten (10) years of direct technical experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • DAWIA Level III in Program Management experience preferred.
Travel

Less than 25% is expected for this position. Travel will include continental United States and overseas austere/remote locations. Ability to fly (no restrictions) on commercial airlines to/from duty locations.

Work Environment

This role will be co‑located with the customer and other contractors in Government office spaces.

Position Type / Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range

Estimated salary range: $145,000 – $154,000 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation and may vary based on experience, geographic location, and other factors.
