Space Systems Integration (SSI) is a fast-growing aerospace engineering firm delivering solutions to government and commercial customers. We seek an Acquisition Specialist for a role in El Segundo, CA, to guide program managers on acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, and budgeting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline with 5–15 years in DoD weapon systems acquisitions.
• Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI; SCI eligibility and Continuous Evaluation.
• Experience with DoD Major Capability Acquisition System, JCIDS, and PPBE processes.
• Willing to undergo polygraph examination.

SSI is seeking a Acquisition Specialist for a role in El Segundo, CA.

Role and Responsibilities include:

• Provide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution.
• Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings.
• Develop, draft, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework, and relevant DoD, AF, and local unit policies that pertain to rapid prototyping.
• Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design/milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements.
• Provide program element coordination, staffing and monitoring; advise and assist government customer regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures as well as drafting and supporting delivery of program funding documentation and monthly financial reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent business-related discipline and 5 to 15 years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management and, or Contracts management within the Department of Defense.
• Experience with the:
  • Department of Defense Major Capability Acquisition System process.
  • Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process.
  • Planning, Programing, Budget and Execution process.
• Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI is required, along with SCI eligibility and participation in Continuous Evaluation.
• Must meet all requirements for SCI and SAP access and be willing to undergo a polygraph examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master Degree in Business Management, technical management, and/or engineering.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP).
• Experience in the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area.

Target salary range: $140,000 - $220,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range and bonus potential for this position based on experience and other factors. We offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
