The position offers full-time hours with a strong focus on acquisition processes, with travel up to 15% and a must-have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, plus ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with extensive DoD experience or advanced degree with relevant DoD experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with significant DoD-related experience appropriate for the role.
• Demonstrated understanding of DoD acquisition processes and contracting policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information for the USG.
• Assist in drawing conclusions and devising solutions to improve acquisition effectiveness and compliance.
• Assist with developing and drafting acquisition documentation and with quality control.
• Assist with performance of work measurement studies, program/operations efficiency reviews, and cost analyses.
• Support key acquisition events and reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TCM, FCA, PCA, and PRR.

Education

High school diploma + 20 yrs relevant exp + 8 yrs DoD experience

Bachelor’s degree + 15 yrs relevant exp + 5 yrs DoD exp

HX5 is currently seeking an Acquisition Manager work at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. This position supports the Mobility and Training Aircraft Program Office and will demonstrate an understanding of DoD acquisition processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an understanding of DoD acquisition processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by the USG.
• Assist in drawing conclusions and devising solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness and compliance.
• Assist with developing and drafting acquisition documentation and assisting with quality control.
• Assist with performing work measurement studies, program or operations efficiency reviews, cost studies, or workload change impact analyses.
• Rely upon and use automated management information systems in performing fact finding, analytical, and advisory functions.
• Support key acquisition events and reviews as needed, such as: System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Technical Coordination Meetings (TCM), Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), Production Readiness Reviews (PRR), and others as applicable.
• Apply an understanding of contracting policies and processes for the purpose of analyzing requirements and assisting with the development of solutions to include pre-award and post-award situations.
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the DoD acquisition process.

Education and Experience

• Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience.
  • High school diploma, twenty (20) years of relevant experience, and eight (8) years of DoD experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, and five (5) years of DoD experience.
  • Master’s degree, twelve (12) years of relevant experience, and five (5) years of DoD experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
• Must be willing to travel up to 15%. (This includes air-travel)
