ACP Audiologist (2997) – Williamsburg Audiology

Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) is actively seeking an Audiologist to practice in Williamsburg. The schedule is full‑time, Monday through Friday day shifts. TPMG includes more than 220 primary care, specialty physicians and advanced practice clinicians in over 75 locations throughout southeastern Virginia.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the position is to provide diagnostic hearing evaluations to various age groups, including pediatric patients. The Audiologist will determine the most effective test after considering the patient’s history, age and diagnoses, recommend treatment, and handle hearing aid sales and dispensing.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform audiological evaluations on patients ranging from various age groups who have problems with hearing, balance, or other ear‑related issues.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order, cleaned and calibrated.
  • Counsel patients on appropriate rehabilitation plans.
  • Assist patients in acquiring hearing aids by making impressions for sizing, fit and style.
  • Fit patients with hearing aids once they have been received.
  • Provide follow‑up care including repairs, refitting and adjustments.
  • Assist in activities to ensure profitability of hearing aid sales.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10 charting codes.
  • Knowledge of audiological software and equipment.
  • Knowledge of current Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, 2007 or newer).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work the scheduled hours as defined in the employment agreement.
  • Ability to present information in an organized manner.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Audiology plus certification of clinical competence (CCC‑A) (ASHA/ABA or PASC); Doctoral (Au.D./Ph.D.) preferred.
  • At least one year of professional audiology experience preferred.
  • Virginia license and hearing aid dispensing license required; experience in hearing aid sales and dispensing a plus.
  • COVID‑19 vaccinated.
