Apple, Inc. in Cupertino is seeking an Acoustics DSP Engineer to ensure the best Voice Recognition experience across Apple hardware. You will tune, optimize and validate audio algorithms in close collaboration with Acoustic Hardware, Audio Tuning, DSP and ML teams.

The role requires strong debugging skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel. Base pay ranges demonstrate Apple’s commitment to rewarding expertise.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent, preferably specializing in Audio or Electrical Engineering.
• Solid understanding of acoustics and signal processing fundamentals.
• Experience executing and debugging scripts with Python and MATLAB.
• Familiarity with acoustic measurement equipment such HeadAcqua Test System, Soundcheck, and Audio Analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Tune, optimize and listen to different internally developed algorithms for Apple HW with focus on Voice Recognition across iOS, macOS and Wireless Apple products.
• Interact with Acoustic Hardware, Audio Tuning, DSP algorithm, and ML teams to ensure the best audio experience.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues with strong attention to detail.
