Intertek in York, PA is seeking an Acoustical Test Technician to join the Building & Construction team. This entry-level role involves setting up and performing acoustical laboratory tests on building products, with on-the-job training provided.

You will document test specimens, assist in testing, learn acoustical standards, and work both independently and with a team. Strong safety-minded individuals with a high school diploma and basic carpentry skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualificações

• General construction/carpentry experience.
• Ability to use Power tools.
• Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results and possess a mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use a tape measure and make accurate measurements.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull as required.
• Follow directions and work under supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Highly motivated with a good work ethic.
• Ability to work alone and on a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel (2–3 days trips).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required).

The Acoustical Test Technician is responsible for setting up and performing acoustical laboratory tests (with supervision) on a variety of building products and components. This is an entry level position with on-the-job training provided.
