Precision Walls, Inc. is seeking a diligent tile installer to apply acoustical tiles and sound-absorbing materials across ceilings and walls. You will prepare surfaces, measure layouts, and align tiles according to blueprints, ensuring clean joints and secure mounting.

Ideal candidates are skilled in surface prep, cutting tiles to fit edges, and following safety procedures. This non-management role requires teamwork and reliable transportation to multiple job sites in Knoxville, TN.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in building construction.
• Commitment to safety procedures and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; follows instructions.
• Dependable transportation to job sites.
• Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Apply acoustical tiles or shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls.
• Prepare surfaces and ensure adhesives are optimal for tile mounting.
• Inspect surfaces for plumbness and level using laser or water level.
• Align and position tiles using lines and strings.
• Secure molding and trim to join tile work with walls.
• Cut tiles to fit edges and around fixtures.
• Measure and lay out according to blueprints.
• Cut and install tiles into supporting framework.
• Mix and apply cement to tile backs for placement.
