Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Part-time ACLS/PALS instructor to provide instruction for ACLS and/or PALS courses. You will prepare classrooms and supplies and teach according to American Heart Association criteria.

Candidates must hold ACLS and/or PALS provider certifications, or be able to obtain instructor credentials within 3 months of hire, and be available for evenings and weekends. Teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified ACLS and/or PALS provider required.
• Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to teach at least 1 class per month.
• Must attend annual mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off.
• Evenings and weekends availability required.
• Teaching/training experience preferred.

Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide instruction for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provides teaching and guidance to students taking ACLS and/or PALS courses.
• Ensures classroom and supplies are prepared for class.
• Follows teaching criteria outlined by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED** :**

• Certified ACLS and or PALS provider.
• Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or the ability to obtain with in 3 months of hire.
• Ability to teach at a minimum of 1 class per month.
• Ability to attend an annual, mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off session.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
