Job description

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory / Windows Engineer to join our infrastructure team on a long-term contract basis. You will be responsible for managing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Active Directory infrastructure and Windows environments for enterprise clients. This is a hybrid position based in Irvine, CA with opportunities for growth and development in a collaborative team environment.

Must Have:

• Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure
• Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and permissions
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Perform user and computer management across domains
• Monitor and optimize network performance and security
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows systems
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance and security standards
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
• Expertise in Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking
• Experience with user and computer account management
• Knowledge of Windows Security and Active Directory security best practices
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting
• Understanding of cloud identity solutions (Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID preferred)
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Additional Information:

• Contract Type: C2C (Contractor to Contractor)
• Duration: Long-Term (12+ months)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Irvine, CA office)
• Rate: $50-53/hr based on experience and expertise
• Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MCSE) preferred
