Job summary

Ace Hardware in Chino Valley, AZ seeks outgoing, friendly team members to welcome and assist customers on a fast-paced floor. Basic home improvement and repair knowledge is helpful for assisting customers with hoses, drywall supplies, outlets and related projects.

You will work directly with customers, keeping a high-energy, friendly atmosphere while helping them complete their projects in one trip. Expect 6–8 hour shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and staff.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Assist with daily maintenance, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.

Job description

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Basic home improvement and repair knowledge is required for this position. The ideal candidate can assist customers with finding a replacement hose bibb, getting the right supplies for drywall repair, or picking out the right outlet for an electrical project.
