Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Production Worker for the outside cylinder exchange area.

You will sort, inspect, clean, paint, label and refill 20 lb cylinders while maintaining a strong safety focus and working as part of a production team. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical and computer skills, and the ability to stand 8–12 hours daily and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain required state licensing; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.

• Ensure consistent quality of cylinders during processing.
• Load filled cylinders onto trucks for next-day shipments.
• Stand 8–12 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Job Summary (Purpose):

The Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. The employee is responsible for the processing of cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders.
• Maintain a safety focus at all times and wear the proper PPE
• Ensure the consistent quality of cylinders are being processed
• Load filled cylinders onto the truck(s) for the next day’s shipments.
• Ability to stand and walk 8 – 12 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

• $18/hour

The pay for this position ranges from $18.00 to $18.00 , depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
