Qualifications

• Current teaching certificate issued by the Missouri DESE, OR eligible and willing to obtain.
• All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed.

Responsibilities

• Teach subject matter to adult offenders appropriate to educational background and certification.
• Adhere to the state-approved course of study while using ingenuity to adapt to pupil needs.
• Plans/outlines classwork; prepares materials for special study.
• As part of the teaching team: develops/implements/evaluates plans; participates in conferences/meetings; maintains scholastic/attendance records; orders supplies.
• Confers with students regarding needs/progress/abilities and provides instruction and encouragement.
• Delivering offender programming including cognitive behavior, financial literacy, workforce skills, etc.
• Receives supervision from Education Supervisor or designated administrator.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
