We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist - Cash Application / Collections to join our Finance department at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey. This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely cash application and collection efforts to support company objectives, improve cash flow, and support growth. This role collaborates with Sales and Finance teams, offering opportunities for professional growth.

Job Description

The specialist manages daily cash receipts, return credits, on-account payments, and collections, attaching documentation in the AFS system and retrieving supporting documentation for unidentifiable deductions.

• Review and apply daily cash payments (checks, ACH, WT, etc.) against open receivables
• Attach remittances and backup documentation in Exceedra/AFS to meet standards
• Access customer websites and resources to retrieve and attach documentation
• Research and prepare on-account payment packages for management review
• Make collection calls and resend invoices for past due balances
• Ensure reports are completed accurately and maintain organized receivable files
• Provide solutions and support process improvements
• Meet or exceed collection metrics, reducing aging and bad debt reserve

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups)
• Experience with major CPG retailers or companies preferred
• Experience with AFS/Exceedra, M3/INFOR, High Radius, PayTrace, SAP S/4 preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment

Worksite

• PIM Brands Global Headquarters, Park Ridge, NJ
• On-site: Monday-Thursday, remote on rotating Fridays
• Summer Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day
