Job summary

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. in Sweetwater, TX, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage payments, credit decisions, and collections. You will post customer payments, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close with accuracy and discretion.

Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor's in accounting/finance, have 2+ years AR experience, and excel in communication, organization, and ERP software usage. This is an in-person, full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or collections.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information.
• ERP systems familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and post customer payments accurately and timely.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and approve or deny credit decisions.
• Establish and adjust customer credit limits based on risk.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues with sales and service teams.
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Review, verify, and process sales commission statements and communicate with representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and collection activities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Review and post customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) accurately and timely
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and make recommendations or decisions on credit approval
• Establish and adjust customer credit limits based on risk assessment
• Monitor existing accounts for changes in credit risk and apply credit holds across divisions
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment terms, and discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues in coordination with sales and customer service teams
• Review invoices, statements, and aging reports
• Maintain accurate records of communications and collection activities
• Assist with month-end closing processes and reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Review, verify, and process sales commission statements and communicate with representatives
• Perform other related duties as assigned
