Garber Automotive Group in Michigan is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure the financial health of our busy office. You will handle receivables tasks, process payments, reconcile accounts, and manage credit applications to determine customer creditworthiness.

Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel, experience with accounting software, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to handle a high level of detail and multitask efficiently.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles including debits and credits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
• Comfortable performing collection calls and handling sensitive information.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments with precision and ensure timely deposit.
• Reconcile accounts to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct collection calls in a professional manner to manage outstanding invoices.
• Maintain and input data into daily Excel spreadsheets to track transaction details.
• Issue invoices to customers and ensure they receive them timely.
• Review and process credit applications to determine customer creditworthiness.
• Balance credit card accounts and verify transaction compliance.
• Prepare and dispatch monthly Accounts Receivable (A/R) statements.
