Job summary

MedBest Medical Management is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to handle follow-up on medical claims, investigate patient accounts and resolve denials. You will field all incoming correspondence and answer patient calls regarding billing, insurance, and payments.

This is a full-time on-site role based in Syracuse, NY. Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent with at least two years of clerical experience in medical Billing; workers' compensation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent and two years clerical support in a medical billing setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on medical claims including follow up on submissions.
• Investigate patient accounts and resolve denials.

Job Summary: Responsible for following up on medical claims including but not limited to follow up on claim submissions, investigating patient accounts, resolving denials, and fielding all incoming correspondence. Answering incoming phone calls from patients pertaining to billing, insurance, and payments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent and two years clerical support in a medical billing setting. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workers' compensation experience preferred

Work Days:

• Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
