Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking an accounting support position to handle data entry, voucher processing, and financial reconciliations in a correctional setting.

The role requires knowledge of accounting systems, attention to detail, and the ability to verify invoices, payments, and reconciliation of accounts across multiple ledgers. You will support daily financial operations at Dayton Correctional Institute.

Qualifications

• 18 months' experience or 18 months' training in accounting/finance including basic spreadsheet skills.
• Alternative: completion of high school technical program in accounting with relevant experience or training.
• Alternative: associate core program in business administration, accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into chartfield coded Requests to Purchases in OAKS.
• Process vouchers in OAKS for EDI, payment cards, capital payments and 5% of other vouchers.
• Prepare local funds for voucher payments and verify invoice calculations for payments.
