Job summary

Serco Inc. in Herndon, VA seeks an Accounts Payable Administrator to process vendor invoices, manage approvals, and support EFT/ACH payments. You will work with Procurement and Finance to resolve discrepancies and assist with month-end close.

The role requires US citizenship, a high school diploma, and 3+ years of AP experience, with strong Excel and Deltek Costpoint skills. Hybrid work one day in-office weekly is possible.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Minimum 3 years ofAccounts Payable experience, preferably in high-volume US Federal contracting.
• Advanced knowledge of invoice processing, payments, and three-way match concepts.
• Experience supporting EFT/ACH, wire, and check payment processes.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and process vendor invoices accurately in AP systems.
• Verify approvals, PO, and account coding prior to processing.
• Support EFT, ACH, wire, and check payment processing activities.
• Assist with vendor payment inquiries and issue resolution.
• Monitor invoice queues and aging reports to meet terms and capture discounts.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with Procurement and Finance.
• Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support audit requests with documentation and payment support.
• Maintain organized electronic records per retention requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls.
