Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Clerk who loves quality construction and accurate processing of invoices. You will support the Accounts Payable Department by sorting invoices, verifying accuracy, and posting documents per terms.

About this Role – Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Clerk who has a passion for quality construction. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing supporting the Accounts Payable Department.

What You’ll Do

• Sort and process company invoices
• Review invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Post and scan documents per company procedures and payment terms meeting all the A/P deadlines
• Provide clerical support for the department

What You’ll Bring

• A basic understanding of generally accepted accounting practices
• Basic knowledge of general office procedures and practices
• Demonstrated multi-tasking, data entry skills, and prioritizing
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proven communication, organizational, documentation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills that include experience with Microsoft Excel
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Education beyond High School preferred)
• Related experience preferred, not required
