Core6 Talent is partnering with a large, PE-backed global organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable professional for its growing Accounting & Finance team in The Woodlands.
This is not a traditional AP position where every transaction follows the same PO, receipt, invoice, three-way-match process.
The organization is growing through acquisitions, operates across multiple entities, and has a high-volume AP environment with transactions that often require someone to stop, investigate, ask questions, and determine the right solution.
The team is also investing heavily in AP automation and process improvement, making this a great opportunity for someone who has developed a strong Accounts Payable foundation but wants more exposure to systems, problem-solving, integrations, and continuous improvement.
There is also room for this person to grow into an AP Lead or take on broader responsibility as the organization continues to expand.
Growth: The organization continues to expand through acquisitions, creating exposure to new entities, processes, systems, and increasingly complex accounting operations.
Career Path: There is potential to grow into an AP Lead and take on broader responsibility as the team evolves.
Technology: You'll get hands-on exposure to AP automation and an active Esker implementation rather than walking into a completely manual environment.
Complexity: This isn't an AP role where you'll perform the same transaction repeatedly. You'll be expected to analyze, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
Stability + Opportunity: You're joining an established global business with significant resources behind it while still having the opportunity to help improve how things are done.
You’ll join an established AP team of 4 processing approximately 4,000 invoices per month and take ownership of an assigned portion of the AP function.
Responsibilities will include:
A major component of this opportunity is the continued evolution of the AP function.
The organization is implementing Esker for AP automation and currently operates within Sage X3. As the company continues to grow and acquire businesses, systems and processes will continue to evolve.
This ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST will have the opportunity to help:
Prior Esker or Sage X3 experience is a plus, but experience with other ERP and automated invoice processing platforms is absolutely transferable.
We’re looking for someone with a strong AP foundation who wants to think beyond the transaction.
The right person will likely have:
In addition to the technical skills, the culture fit is extremely important. We are looking for a critical thinker and problem solver who is naturally curious when something doesn’t look right. If you consider yourself an outside of the box thinker who is comfortable figuring things out independently, this could be the right opportunity for you! There will be situations where the easiest answer isn't necessarily the correct one, and we need someone willing to dig deeper.
