Job summary

Attalon, located in Northeast Philadelphia, is seeking a Manager, Accounting to oversee AR, AP, and Payroll, guiding a newly created function as the company builds its stand-alone operations after a 2025 private-equity acquisition.

You will lead a shared services team, drive process transformation, strengthen controls, and partner with HR, procurement, and operations to improve data accuracy and service delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years in progressive accounting or shared services, including team leadership in AR/AP/payroll.
• Experience leading process change and implementing new systems or workflows.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance.
• ERP systems and payroll platforms experience; comfort with automation tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and influence without authority.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical/problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the shared services team across AR, AP, and Payroll.
• Oversee end-to-end AR processes: billing, cash application, collections, and governance.
• Oversee AP processing, vendor payments, invoice management, and expense compliance.
• Direct payroll operations ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Lead process improvement initiatives including workflow redesign and automation.
• Identify gaps and implement plans to improve speed, quality, and controls.
• Collaborate with HR, procurement, operations, and finance to streamline processes.
• Support ERP enhancements and rollout of new tools affecting AR, AP, payroll.
• Serve as Concur administrator and enforce expenses policies.
• Track KPIs, service levels, error rates, and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close for AR, AP, payroll.
• Manage external audit requests.
