Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a seasoned accounting advisory professional with a strong Public Accounting background to support accounting & transaction advisory growth. The role emphasizes issuing high-quality assurance and advisory work, and interacting with C-Suite stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in Audit/Assurance/Advisory or Deals/FDD within a Big 4/Top 10 environment, with GAAP/IFRS knowledge and a proactive, client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters preferred.
• CPA certification preferred – in process acceptable.
• 4+ years in Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD in Public Accounting (Big 4/Top 10 preferred).
• Experience with large public filers (Audit/Assurance) & high-value transactions (Deals/FDD).
• High degree of professionalism; communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
• Self-starter; able to work as IC or in a team-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, FASB & SEC/ASC rules and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing tech environments (AI, RPA).

Our client is a large, established Advisory firm that has placed significant capital behind their Accounting & Transaction Advisory sector expansion this year.

If you've got a Public Accounting background, but want to expand that knowledge & experience with a firm devoted to developing & progressing their people, this one is for you.

Whether you're an External Auditor with strong Financial Statement experience, or a current Deals/FDD/TAS professional who is a Databook whiz, this firm should be on your radar.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred - will accept those who are in process
• 4+ years of experience within Audit, Assurance, Advisory or Deals/FDD, within a Public Accounting firm (Big 4/Top 10 preferred )

• High degree of professionalism required- including the ability to communicate with C-Suite level individuals.
