Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation is seeking an Accounting Technician to join the Accounting group under general supervision. You will perform routine and special accounting tasks, follow established procedures, and apply sound judgment.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing accounting documents, assisting in analysis and reconciliation, maintaining records and controls, preparing reports, correcting errors, and coordinating with other corporate personnel to fulfill the

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite.
• Ability to perform technical accounting tasks with judgment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing accounting documents.
• Assisting in analysis and reconciliation of accounting data.
• Assisting in maintenance of accounting records and controls.
• Assisting in preparation of accounting reports, statements, bills and schedules.
• Reviewing and correcting any computer edit errors.
• Coordinating with other corporate personnel to accomplish Accounting group responsibilities.
