Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and develops a team of accounting associates.
• Provides training, guidance, and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting activities.
• Supports onboarding, knowledge transfer, and cross-training initiatives.
• Performs and oversees general accounting activities, including preparation and reconciliation of ledger accounts.
• Oversees Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and compliance with policies.
• Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions with accuracy and compliance.
• Reviews and approves accounting transactions and supporting documentation.
• Prepares account reconciliations and assists with month-end close.
• Oversee customer credit limit review and maintenance; assess credit risk and assist collections.
• Maintain documentation and strengthen internal controls; ensure compliance.
• Participate in projects and continuous improvement impacting accounting and business processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Materials, Operations, and other partners to improve processes.
• Develop standardized procedures, documentation, and reporting.

Education

BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

Inside the Role

The Accounting team is the foundation of the Remanufacturing Business Unit and directly impacts the liquidity and financial health of the organization. The team is responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and general accounting activities, including the recording of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

In addition, the team is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining effective internal controls across the Business Unit to mitigate financial and operational risks, ensure compliance with Daimler Truck company policies and requirements, support audit readiness, and promote the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Supervise the accounting team associates and oversees accounting operations supporting the Remanufacturing business unit. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through general accounting activities, reconciliations, transaction review, and compliance with company policies and accounting principles.

Partners with cross-functional departments to support financial processes, internal controls, audit activities, process improvements, and business initiatives. Provides guidance to team members while driving efficient, standardized, and well-documented accounting practices.

• Assists in developing standardized procedures, documentation, and reporting to support operational and financial objectives

Knowledge You Should Bring
