Job summary

CU*SOUTH is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the CUinBalance team with daily, monthly, and quarterly back-office accounting duties for partner credit unions. You will balance daily books, reconcile accounts, and provide timely client communication.

Role involves training support, time tracking, and project-status updates. Some travel to client sites is required, and discretion with sensitive data is essential. Works within a collaborative, service-driven culture.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Back-office accounting experience in credit union/banking desired.
• Experience in B2B client service and support preferred.
• Familiarity with credit union operations and regulations preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confidentiality essential.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Discretion when handling sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Balance daily accounting tasks and process exceptions.
• Reconcile client accounts and prepare reports.
• Provide timely communication to clients and management.
• Support ongoing training and knowledge growth.
• Track time and project status using PM tools.
• Collaborate with CUinBalance team to meet objectives.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
