About the role
The Accounting Specialist (AR) is responsible for accounts receivable for Breville South Korea.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming payments
- Prepare and issue tax invoices through customer portals or EDI
- Collaborate with the sales team on sales inquiries
- Reconcile irregularities in receipts
- Work with accounts payable and other accounting staff to ensure financial accuracy
- Reconcile bank and card receipts regularly for accuracy
- Generate and deliver reports to relevant departments
- Investigate and resolve irregularities in payments
- Support inventory issues to verify cost of sales impact
- Ensure accurate revenue and COGS recognition
- Reconcile sales data between ERP, retail POS, and PG vendors
- Monitor retail sales commissions
Audit
- Prepare audit requirements related to AR
- Ensure local books align with KGAAP
- Support group, external, and internal audits
Financial Reporting
- Reconcile intercompany AR balances
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation reports
- Maintain monthly AR aging reports
- Update forecasts regularly for management
- Compare actual sales to budget monthly
Tax
- File quarterly VAT returns
- Reconcile VAT with the National Tax Service portal monthly
- Support corporate and local income tax filings
Others
- Raise tickets to Global IT for system or human errors
- Engage proactively with Global IT for reconciliation or troubleshooting
- Support internal controls and risk management, including annual self-compliance questionnaires

Qualifications and experience
- Motivated individual capable of balancing hands-on tasks with strategic thinking, especially in retail
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- At least 5 years of finance and accounting experience in a global company
- At least 2 years of AR and credit management experience preferred
- Advanced English proficiency required
