A leading automotive retailer is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage processing and transaction-level accounting functions. You will stock inventory, post journal entries, and support departmental tasks. Ideal candidates will possess data entry skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in Excel. Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive retail industry and with CDK-DMS is preferable.
• Some accounting experience and/or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock inventory received at the stores from manufacturers.
• Post entries to all stores involved in intercompany transfers of used inventory directed by the RTC.
• Assist with general department tasks such as progress/status tracking and reporting.

Job Description

Job Summary: Performs processing‑ and transaction‑level accounting and control functions. The purpose is to transfer many of those functions from the dealership level to a centralized location to improve both efficiency and effectiveness/quality.

Essential Functions

• Stock inventory received at the stores from manufacturers
• Stock inventory purchased by Central Buying
• Post entries to all stores involved in intercompany transfers of used inventory directed by the RTC
• Post general journal entries
• Assist with general department tasks such as progress/status tracking and reporting
• Obtain and pay off inventory financing ("floorplan")
• Work closely with other team members to cross‑train and share best practices

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Accurate data entry skills, as well as strong written and spoken communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel
• Some accounting experience and/or education; H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to pass pre‑employment checks and testing

Desired Experience

• Experience in the automotive retail industry and with CDK‑DMS is preferable but not required
• An Accounting Specialist in the Shared Services – General Accounting department typically has some accounting experience and/or education
